neat
naw learn it
you need it to check output for sanity and to trim code
its a little messy
kevtris: i think its literally the length of our receptors
theyre antenna
and theyre about the size that theyd interact with those wavelengths
oh you mean in general
i think because way more visible gets through the atmosphere than anything else?
so shit just evolved that way
oh
i wonder, ive never seen plots
but yeah that shit should break through clouds easier
k neat im going to go fix my cnc more
the fucking wires on the y steppers broke
push-down MTA-100
the y stepper is the only one that moves so these wires with no strain relief been wobbling for like 4 years
(i got them already like this)
i broke down the little covers for the push-downs
er, *i broke the little covers
so im going to hot glue the shit for strain relief and to keep chips out
stupid connector for a stepper on a machine tool
i dont know zeeshan
ive wondered a few times
see if you can back post somehow

neat
danielson: what to keep them from overshooting?
Posted by renesis at 14:46 | permalink | 0 comments
you want to use a fet bridge, tho, no?
mine wastes power because of the Vbe drop in follower mode
oh weird
why

dx^: ha there is all sorts of shit buried in your garden =\
nice
like they couldnt throw it away because someone might find it in the trash

k back to cncncncnc
it prob was LD50 testing
and rash testing on bunnies =(
=\
Posted by renesis at 13:48 | permalink | 0 comments
`nico: i dont know how to take my segment rings out of my ears =\
they been there like 5 years now
LD50 ftw

then go to the right Z and plunge in straigh along X
yeah
Posted by renesis at 11:33 | permalink | 0 comments
zeeshan: yeah
need a parting tool
depends how it needs to be cutoff
usually you cant use the tool you did the part profile with to cut it off
then maybe you dont
oh
you need to do it with a parting tool
Posted by renesis at 11:28 | permalink | 0 comments
or you fed up the app fix and you dont have licenses for any machines
*fucked
they might have just put it someplace else
thats weird

or at least before the line you move in that coordinate space
not a big deal tho if the controller reads code right
its modal, so it uses whatever workspace is in the register from before
yeah but it should work the way you have it
but i kinda code like i drive you just have to assume its retarded when youre writing by hand it makes shit easier
hahaha
i think the radius comp on the bridgeport had that issue
you couldnt like just put the entry and the radius comp commands one line apart
like it needed an extra line to think about it
neat
hit new?
oh
the whole menu is gone
yeah google for it people are prob wiggin out
Posted by renesis at 10:53 | permalink | 0 comments
no
not new
hopefully waaaaaay better then when i tried it
eagle
that cant be worse than geda tho
eh
G18 was for radius coord selection?
swish: eagle runs on linux
i usually set G54 in the safety block at the top

yay dripnuts http://gator4x4.com/gallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=16786&g2_serialNumber=2
i machined the air cleaner nuts, for thedrip
dripnuts

good question
check machine manual, i think its configurable on some machines
the dials on a lot of lathes are diamater i think
its always the opposite of what i think it is
i dont remember if the CNC lathe i did was the same way
really quick to find out =)

tell me why someone who knows how to make the fuel, who has access to metal tube and sheets, and who can weld couldnt make working rockets?
dude you have pics of three rockets
that look like they detonated
those rockets looke fine to me
hehe @ the rocket launcher wobbling
Qassams are primitive missiles lacking any guidance system.
...or a rocket, wtf
Posted by renesis at 08:11 | permalink | 0 comments
omg you guys are all talking out your ass
i meant you too
again, bullshit numbers
youre not there you dont know
check it out, people there
they dont know
because they cant know how many rockets have been fired
because obviously misfires and bad trajectory stuff doesnt always make it anyplace
so all these numbers you guys are talking about are indisputably bullshit
darkfires: youre a dork rockets is like ancient china tech
shit they prob used bambo tubes
you put solid fuel in a tube you put some holes in it to get more even burn you set the shit on fire yeah done
Posted by renesis at 08:06 | permalink | 0 comments
tonsofpcs: you need to have lengths indexed and repeatable
its a hack
when theyre made by jacobs at least
http://littlemachineshop.com/Products/Images/480/480.2440.jpg
those quick change ER holders are neat
the cnc router two jobs ago had bunch of er-16 on iso cones
Posted by renesis at 07:35 | permalink | 0 comments
its in the way tho!
but yeah 90% awesome
it needs to pull up like 2" more
jezus fuck thats what like 200 tools or what
okay so how many tools and how far down does that tool chain thing go
neat

http://home.insightbb.com/~joevicar3/default_files/image005.gif
wtf srs?
http://home.insightbb.com/~joevicar3/Toolchanger_01_11_04.MPG
srs.
it doesnt move out of the way tho
it just like, lets go and stays there
Posted by renesis at 07:24 | permalink | 0 comments
i did
but that was before virtualization!
wat
k back to endless drilling with no tool changer
i dont even have cnc tool holders
wat
the fuck are you talking about
i dont really want to make one tho i want like real shit from a toolroom machine
Posted by renesis at 07:19 | permalink | 0 comments
=(, so i says kinda but definitely no
do you have a scope?
long pause means no i guess
looks clipped
maybe it needs more filter
it just looks scaled wrong and clipped

oh there is an arduino involved
man everyone has these things
i should get one and be lame for a week and then do a bunch of shields because theyre HUGE hahaha
layout for most shit would be easy
rab: mud people program at chico have them
hehehe @ memory of a ceramics grad student holding an arduino like
WAT
already has a couple spots of clay on it
rab: but i can do mine with curvy traces
WIN
i know it was so awesome!
hes like we have to program it
like he was staring at it with a WTF DOES PROGRAM IT MEAN face
so it was neat like i would explain what microcontrollers do
and whats inside
and german vegan photography girls is like OKAY SO THERE IS ARDUINOS IN EVERYTHING
AND THEY RUN THE WORLD?

nunchuck $$$ is prob the accelerometer and connectors
isnt the nunchuck wireless?
its analog or digital out
wai
just because life is interesting like that?
how are you plotting?
oh
in the wiimote?
no how are you getting the data
on some long string of wires?
Posted by renesis at 04:49 | permalink | 0 comments
HAI CAN YOU PUT THESE 0805 ON THESE 0603 PADS YOU HAVE TO DO THE 0805 ON ITS SIDE HAHA YA
week 2: OKAY TODAY WERE PUTTING 0603 ON TOP OF SOT23 ON TOP OF SOIC, CONNECTED WITH KYNAR AND AN 0603, OTHER END OF KYNAR TO FINE PITCH QFP PIN
thats not a joke btw
week 3: OKAY BAI GONE TO CHINA SMT MESS YOURS NOW
like, you figure it out pretty quick, with magnification and cone tips its not even very hard
we had a 20x stereo scope that was awesome, 40x+ was kinda ridculous
yes for sure
Posted by renesis at 04:44 | permalink | 0 comments
relateds to smt junk: ive never routed ssop opamp stuff
i guess maybe it would be like doing soic with 1206 or something
when i see them on cards and mobo the parts are always lined up perfect rows above or to the side
sometimes its like did you guys even try was that shit autoplaced as a side thought when you did south bridge stuff wtf =(
0805 is really easy to prototype with
fabbed boards im fine with 0603
i just dont like reworking a ton because the pads slide around easier
well, i would have thought the same thing
but thats what i did my first day at stanton
Posted by renesis at 04:39 | permalink | 0 comments
probably just calling me a MoprDpon
that was prob dumb i prob just created like 3 years of mistyped drama
well at least he has something to live for
yeah thats all he said to me in the mesage it was kinda short, rude
does he know he was only banned for like 100 seconds?
hes lucky i noticed the ban i thought i just kicked him i was about to go make coffee and get lost in something
Posted by renesis at 04:33 | permalink | 0 comments
you could get a known accelerometer and glue it on top
and track data from both
if its srs bzns
ok that sucks
it has a freescale chip next to it
so im assuming its a uC so accelerometer data might be serialized or something
so accelerometer chip could be anything with enough axis
axises?
axii?
but axes means axes
tru
i wonder if it shows kick messages when you have the kicker on ignore
pick, wtf, *pic
damn why is he messaging me
Posted by renesis at 04:28 | permalink | 0 comments
sometimes those arent really parts numbers theyre ref numbers for the part and fab data
the label on the chip
they put 1% resistor codes on 0603 resistors, fuckin assholes could just put standard part numbers on their own lines
they could all just share the nice label machine
my guess was the 2nd two line
oh
people will know
google wii nunchuck teardown
or wii accelerometer
oooo
