our assembly lady reflows with hot air all the time

tack the corner, do them one by one with a tiny iron tip

so the biggest issue, after you decide on a solution for this, is how to press down on the chip enough without bending in the pins
right
because at least like that you can gauge the pressure and start to feel the pins giving
well youve tried it on one
so im not impressed
but ST likely has their shit together enough that the pins are close enough you wont have to press so hard
but yeah that is a nice footprint, soldered down i think thats awesome
